Today is day 365.

On this day last year, I was 17 years old and just starting my final semester of high school. I got breakfast at the Euro Cafe with my mom and had lunch at Trader Joe’s with a friend. I was stressed out because I would find out that day whether or not I got into Scripps College (which I didn’t.) At the time, I was planning on studying psychology and had no idea where I’d wind up going to school. I didn’t know that I’d be able to even finish the 365 project but I needed something to keep myself distracted from the terrifyingly eminent future.

Today, I’m 18 years old and studying media at the University of San Francisco, where I also work for their school newspaper as both a photographer and a writer. I’m really happy to be living there and I return next Saturday, although I’m sad to be saying good-bye to my family and friends- I won’t see them until May.

I would like to thank my parents and friends for supporting me in this venture, whether that meant letting me out of the car so I could take photos, giving me new lenses for Christmas or sitting patiently in front of my camera. Special thanks goes to Chris Rhoades, Susana Rhoades, Sasha Rindisbacher, Daniel Tatum, Kevin Tucker, Tom Robinson, Jonathan Baldwin, Catherine Maisano, Emma Alvarez-Gibson and so many more I can’t name.

Much love and please keep coming back for even more photos!
